March 2018:

Monday the 12th, Arts Forum, Fuller Lodge, Nambe Room, 12:00pm – 1:00pm


Apple Hill String QuartetThursday the 22nd, Apple Hill String Quartet residency. Master Class, Free, 3:30pm to 5:00pm. Concert, 7:00pm. Both events are open to the public, at Fuller Lodge, Pajarito Room (the great hall). Concert admission is at the door: $20 gen, $10 students 8-17 y/o w ID, $15 LAAC, LACA, LASO, LACW members


April 2018:

Monday the 9th, Arts Forum, Fuller Lodge Nambe Room, 12:00 to 1:00pm

Wednesday the 11th (second Wednesday of the month): Brown Bag Concert, 12:00pm – 1:00pm, Fuller Lodge, featuring :Tomasz Robak, classical piano, sponsored by Los Alamos Community Winds. Prelude to solo recital (4/12). Free
Thursday the 12th: Tomasz Robak in a full classical piano recital, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, Fuller Lodge. Admission Charge: $15 gen. $5 student under 16. LAAC or LACW members: $10


May 2018:
Wednesday the 2nd: Brown Bag Concert, 12:00pm – 1:00pm, Fuller Lodge, featuring Charles Lieou, classical piano. Free

Saturday the 5th: LAAC Spring Arts Fair

Monday the 7th, Arts on Tap, 5:30pm at UnQuarked. Free

Sunday the 13th, Mother’s Day Coffee House Concert, featuring Kay Newnam, violin, and Patrick Neher, contrabass, and celebrated colleagues in a stimulating and satisfying gastric and aural experience. Admission at the door and advance: Gen./LAAC Members/Students/Per-Table group discount

Saturday, Sunday the 19th and 20th, Los Alamos Kite Festival, Overlook Park, White Rock, morning demos, 12:00pm to 5:pm kite flying, workshops, creations. Free

June 2018:
Wednesday, the 6th: Brown Bag Concert, 12:00pm – 1:00pm, Fuller Lodge, featuring Don Machen with the Albuquerque & Four Corners Pipes and Drums. Traditional bag pipes and drums, dance and fanfare music from Europe. A very popular performance! Free

Monday the 11th, Arts Forum, Fuller Lodge Nambe Room, 12:00 – 1:00pm

Wednesday the 20th, Taos Opera Institute performance (vocalists and piano), 7:00pm, Fuller Lodge, Free.

July 2018:
Science Fest on the 14th: Arts and Science immersion experience provided by LAAC at the Lodge. In addition to our annual Sec Sandoval Chalk Walk, we will propose a small “music” synthesizers festival, with theory, building, and a concert in Fuller Lodge.

July 23 to July 28: LAAC sponsored Missoula Children’s Theatre Residency, production of Peter and Wendy, at Crossroads Bible Church. For children in 1-12 grades. Audition day is 7.23.18 at 10:00am. Public performance date is 7.28.18 at 7:00pm. Workshop admission charge: tba. Performance ticket admission: tba

August 2018:
Monday the 6th, Arts on Tap, 5:30pm at UnQuarked. Free

September 2018:
Wednesday, September 5th, Fuller Lodge, Brown Bag Performance featuring Dan Marks, piano, and his arrangements of the music of Vince Guaraldi

Sept. 22, 7:00pm, Fuller Lodge,  Rosalie Heller Annual Memorial Lecture on Music. Featuring Bill McGlaughlin, inaugural lecturer, in a multi-media program titled: “Remembering Lenny” celebrating the centenary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth. Free. Seating is limited to 130.

October 2018:
Wednesday, Oct. 3rd, Brown Bag Performance, Fuller Lodge, Free. Featuring a local string quartet.

Friday, Oct. 12th,  the Second Annual Evening of Arts and Culture, Arts District, Los Alamos, 6:00pm to 9:00pm. A program involving at least 10 venues and more than 25 presentations, representing the depth of the arts in Los Alamos. Free

Saturday, Oct. 20th: Scarecrow Contest (one week display)

Saturday, Oct. 27th: Pumpkin Glow (evening) with carving party in the morning (at Smith’s)

November 2018:
Monday the 5th, Arts on Tap, 5:30pm at UnQuarked. Free
Wednesday, Nov. 7, Brad Richter, guitarist, at Brown Bag, master class following (tba)
Nov 8, Brad Richter in concert (classical guitar with other instruments) Program TBA
