Check all that the Arts Council is doing in June!

June 6th: The sound of wildly popular bagpipes will fill the halls of Fuller Lodge in a festive Brown Bag Performance of the Albuquerque and Four Corners Pipes and Drums, with Scottish dancers too! That’s Wednesday, June 6th at 12:00 noon, Fuller Lodge, free.

June 14: The Arts Council Annual Meeting (and party!) will take place at 5:30pm until 7:30pm (plus or minus), at Fuller Lodge. Good music along with good refreshments an d company will accompany announcements about programs and Board members. Everyone is invited, no RSVP required. June 20: On Wednesday, June 20th the Taos Opera Institute will present their young and talented vocal quartet, Cantos de Taos, in a program of romantic opera classics for voice. This free recital is sure to delight the opera lover in you! That’s:  Fuller Lodge, 7:00pm, Wed. June 20th. Free (but, please make a donation, which will be met with big smiles and thank yous!) 🙂

Science Fest on the 14th: our annual Sec Sandoval Chalk Walk

July 23 to July 28: LAAC sponsored Missoula Children’s Theatre Residency, production of Peter and Wendy, at Crossroads Bible Church. For children in 1-12 grades. Audition day is 7.23.18 at 10:00am. Public performance date is 7.28.18 at 7:00pm. Workshop admission charge: tba. Performance ticket admission: tba


September 2018:
Wednesday, September 5th, Fuller Lodge, Brown Bag Performance featuring Dan Marks, piano, and his arrangements of the music of Vince Guaraldi

Sept. 22, 7:30pm, Fuller Lodge,  Rosalie Heller Annual Memorial Lecture on Music. Featuring Bill McGlaughlin, inaugural lecturer, in a multi-media program titled: “Remembering Lenny” celebrating the centenary of Leonard Bernstein’s birth. Free. Seating is limited to 100.

October 2018:
Wednesday, Oct. 3rd, Brown Bag Performance, Fuller Lodge, Free. Featuring a local string quartet.

Friday, Oct. 12th,  the Second Annual Evening of Arts and Culture, Arts District, Los Alamos, 6:00pm to 9:00pm. A program involving at least 10 venues and more than 25 presentations, representing the depth of the arts in Los Alamos. Free

Saturday, Oct. 20th: Scarecrow Contest (one week display)

Saturday, Oct. 27th: Pumpkin Glow (evening) with carving party in the morning (at Smith’s)
