Announcing the 2018 Coffee House

The Coffee House Announces “Mother’s Day High Tea at Fuller Lodge” Sunday, May 13, 2018. 4:00pm Tea and goodies, 5:00pm music
At 4:00pm a “High Tea” will be served, consisting of pastries & beverages provided in a cafe-style setting, for good socializing and relaxing. Then at 5:00pm the performance will liven-up the room. All at Fuller Lodge. Tickets are availabel at CB Fox ($30 general admission, $25 LAAC members, $15 students 8 – 17 y/o with ID).

Program to include exciting as well as inspiring classical music, performed by local celebrated musicians, Kay Newnam, violin, Patrick Neher, contrabass, with guest musicians, Erika Duke, cellist, Jacquelyn Helin, piano, and Danny DeSantis, viola. Schubert “Trout” Quintet is the featured work, with other music by Bach, Mozart, and Neher.

Series Background:

Local violin and viola virtuoso, Kay Newnam, presents chamber music in the acoustically warm and friendly Fuller Lodge.  From baroque masters to modern experimentalists, and sampling over a full pallet of orchestral voices during its 30-year history, Kay assembles unique ensembles for each concert, drawing from a rich pool of professional musicians, to achieve the diversity and quality for which this series is renowned.  Food, coffee (or tea) and a luscious dessert are served prior to the music, allowing audiences to warm up and settle in before each performance.
