Join us for an enchanted Halloween as carved pumpkins join the ranks of scarecrows on Central Avenue for a bit of festive autumn fun.
You, too, can be a part of the fun by bringing your carved pumpkins to the Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) booth in front of Bennett’s Jewelers on Friday, October 30, from 2 pm to 4 pm. From there, your pumpkin will be given a specific place to reside with the existing scarecrows and other select businesses downtown and in Central Park Square. Pumpkins will remain in place until 1 pm Sunday, November 1st.
The pumpkins will not be lit this year, but their carved faces are sure to be enjoyed by all, just the same, as people do their shopping and errands on Central Ave. By providing a “Scarecrow-Pumpkin Walk,” Los Alamos Arts Council is bringing Halloween spirit to the downtown sidewalks and local businesses of Los Alamos.

You can view our Pumpkin Event from 2019 here. Los Alamos Arts Council presented an attempt to break the Word Record of Most Pumpkins Carved Simultaneously. This fun event brought participants from around New Mexico, and fun was had by all!
