Pumpkin Glow 2024

Our most beloved fall program returns to the Fuller Lodge lawn on October 26th
Pumpkin Carving starts at 10 AM. We will have 100 pumpkins free to carve and decorate for the glow starting at 5PM. You will leave your pumpkin with us and it will go on display at dusk!

Pumpkin Toddle: For those who need a less sensory experience, we will have our second annual Pumpkin Toddle from 4PM-5PM. If the dark and big crowds (and late bedtimes) are not your thing, join us for this afternoon walk around the pumpkins.

All Pumpkins most be delivered no later than 3PM to be on display during the glow.

After Dusk, the lights go out and the pumpkins glow! Check back soon for information on our annual carving party, contest, and more details on our pumpkin glow for 2024.

Scarecrow Contest 2024

Los Alamos Arts Council presents our Annual Scarecrow Contest. This year's theme is Decades!

DECADES:

From the free-spirited 1960s to the historical 1940s to the technological revolution of the 2000s, every decade is different! Since the Arts Council was established as a non-profit in 1967, we have seen it all. Choose a decade (or two) to bring to life with your scarecrow!

Book Debut: 'The Sound of a Thousand Stars'

In collaboration with Samizdat Bookstore & Teahouse, Los Alamos Arts Council is proud to present a literary event in Fuller Lodge. Author Rachel Robbins will be presenting her debut novel, "The Sound of a Thousand Stars." Published by Penguin Random House, the book is a fictional account of two Jewish physicists working on the Manhattan Project, and is inspired by the experiences of Robbins' grandparents.

Missoula Children's Theater 2024: Hercules!

HERCULES! Audition

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre original adaptation of HERCULES! Oct 7 from 4 PM to 6 PM.

This production is part of the Missoula Children's Theatre's unique international touring project and is presented locally by Los Alamos Arts Council. All students from 1st-8th Grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. 

Audition: Monday, October 7th from 4-6 PM

Performance: Saturday, October 12th at 6 PM

Tickets available online, at the Fuller Lodge Art Center, and at the door on 10/12

ART OPENING: Interlacements

Come out to Fuller Lodge Art Center on a Friday night to experience the Interlacements show! A description from the artists:

"interlace: to unite by passing over and under each other; weave together

A collaboration between High Desert Tapestry Alliance and Tapestry Artists of Las Arañas exhibiting 2 and 3 dimensional tapestry weaving and mixed media."

Light refreshments will be served, and the show will be in our gallery until October 4th. Come down and support New Mexican artists!

Spring Craft Fair

Our Annual Spring Arts and Crafts Fair featuring over 100 vendors from around New Mexico and beyond. This event is an annual favorite for over 45 years and is free to the public. Vendors will be open at 9AM for shoppers! We will have indoor and outdoor booths for this event, as well as several of our favorite food vendors, crafters, photographers, jewelers and more!
