Art Studio: Afterschool
Polymer Clay Play

Sustainable Fashion Workshop
When: Tuesdays, Thursdays, 4:30-6:30PM

About: Drop in for one session or join all 6! These workshops will be lead by Kaya Loy who is a college student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. We are excited to have her share her knowledge and experiences in the world of fashion.

Art Studio: Teens

About: This open art studio for teens is an opportunity for 7th-12th graders to express themselves through various art mediums. Students will have access to drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and so much more. There will not be an instructor leading a specific project, but there will be a facilitator to help students get started.
Mexican Bark Painting

About: In this workshop, children will explore the history and significance of amates, discovering how these beautiful artworks tell stories and reflect the culture of Mexico. Kids will have the opportunity to create their own one-of-a-kind "bark" painting, using bright tempera paints to bring their imagination to life. Whether they choose to paint a colorful bird, a mythical creature, or abstract patterns, each child will take home a piece of art that is as unique as they are!

Bean Mosaics

About: This fun, hands-on art class is a super kid-friendly way to dive into the world of mosaics. Students will use an assortment of colorful beans, lentils, and popcorn kernels to design and create their own unique mosaic masterpieces. With a wide variety of textures and colors to choose from, kids will explore their creativity and practice fine motor skills as they carefully arrange their materials on a canvas or board.
Intro to Hand Sewing

This 8 week class just for elementary age kiddos will teach the basics of hand sewing. At the end of the class you will have sewn a mini stuffed animal that you design, and have a reference binder that you will be able to refer to for future projects.

Make a tasty treat of your very own! In this 2 part class students will use news paper, tape, & cardboard to create a sculpture of a food of their choice. After the armature is built, students will use newspaper strips and liquid starch to paper mache their sculptures. The second session will allow for touch ups and painting.

We’ll explore how Nevelson arranged her objects in interesting ways to create art that tells a story, and then we’ll build our own sculptures using similar techniques! In this fun and interactive class, students in grades 1 through 6 will learn how to create their own agamographs—colorful, eye-catching art pieces that change their appearance as you view them from different angles! They'll explore the basics of symmetry, color, and pattern while cutting, folding, and assembling their designs. Through hands-on activities, students will experiment with shapes, textures, and optical illusions, discovering how slight shifts in perspective can transform their artwork. By the end of the class, each student will have created a unique agamograph to take home, along with a deeper understanding of how art and math can come together to create something truly magical.
Intro to Linoleum Printing

In this fun and creative linoleum printmaking class, students will learn the basics of this unique art form by carving their own designs into linoleum blocks to create prints. They’ll start by sketching simple drawings and then transfer those designs onto the linoleum. Using safe carving tools, they’ll carefully carve out their designs, learning how to control the tools and create bold lines and shapes. Once their blocks are ready, they’ll use colorful ink to press onto paper and create beautiful prints. This hands-on process lets kids explore their artistic skills, develop an eye for design, and have fun while making their own art to take home!

O’Keefe Close Ups
When: February 20th 2025 10AM-Noon
Where: Fuller Lodge Art Center

About: In this class, we’ll learn how to create our own O'Keeffe-inspired close-up art. You’ll: Choose an object (a flower, leaf, or anything from nature!). Look at it closely, focusing on details like colors, shapes, and textures. Use paints, pastels, or colored pencils to zoom in on a single part of the object and make it the star of your artwork. Experiment with big, bold shapes and bright colors, just like O'Keeffe did.

An introductory lino printmaking class is designed to introduce students to the basics of relief printmaking using linoleum (lino) as a medium.
This class will introduce tools needed for lino printing, the methods used for carving a lino block, and give you the opportunity to design, carve, and print your own lino block.
